Updates..............
I had always planned this was going to be a blog with photographs and text explaining all, but as time has went on and the time it takes to update even just the photographs I decided to just have it as a image blog, but since I have been so shit at keeping in touch with everyone over the last 50 weeks I decided to give in and update my blog with some text updates of what has been happening to me lately.........here goes!
It is a little strange being foreign in such a touristy place. It’s nice on occasion as you can just blend into the rest of the mayhem that seems to go on, but on other occasions when someone talks to you like you are 5 years old because they think you are new then it’s a little patronizing. Plus a Scottish accent in a City that is filled with many people who have English as a second language sometimes can be a bit of a problem. The worst one is the simplest thing you can imagine. When I have to call up and book a Dr’s appt or even when I am ordering a sandwich at lunchtime and they ask your name so they can call you out when it’s done – Nobody can say or spell Graham! It’s normally gram. Or grem or greyham. I’m sort of glad I have the Scottish spelling as if I was Graeme I think it would be worse! I usually have to say like the cracker. Graham Crackers are these small popular little biscuits over here.
For the most part it is Paradise, and I am just being a typical Brit and moaning, but I do love living here, but it’s just sad that it’s too expensive that I will never be able to afford to buy a house here
Right.......who's coming over for a holiday?
